Oculus client, D-Link, wins industry recognition for outstanding advertising In February, VNU title Computer Reseller News (CRN) presented D-Link, a worldwide leader and award-winning producer of networking, voice and data products, with an Outstanding Advertising Award. The award was presented for D-Link’s Firewall Promotions ad – ‘the advertisement that achieved outstanding readership response as measured against all other ads appearing in CRN 15 November 2004 issue’. The accompanying AdMeasure Report highlighted that Firewall Promotions advert scored significantly above the AdMeasure benchmarks in all four award criteria: Recall, Relevance, Intent and Impact. CRN readers, typically Value Added Resellers and Resellers selling IT products, services and solutions through the channel, said the revised ad style had improved the clarity and quality of product communication, resulting in greater reader interest. The consensus was that product information was presented well and that although the ad did not include high-impact visuals, the sustained text built a strong foundation for brand recall. Sixty-two per cent of readers gave the D-Link advert a positive score of ‘good’ or ‘very good’. All at Oculus, especially D-Link Account Director John Twining and Account Executive Rachel Davis, are thrilled that D-Link has been recognised in this way and look forward to further contributing to D-Link’s success. |
